Manager’s Tools

New Feature: Equipment Tracking and Safety Check

Have you ever wanted a way to track, confirm and audit the material handling equipment in your warehouse to make sure it’s in good working order? Because there’s a big concern for workplace safety in the warehouse for those employees operating material handling equipment, we’ve created an intelligent way to minimize risk and improve safety. Introducing PathGuide’s new Equipment Tracking and Safety Check Module for Latitude WMS where every piece of equipment gets its own classification and users are guided through user-defined prompts to perform pre-shift safety checks from a handheld device. Specific equipment is matched to a defined pull type (used for pick filtering and carton max cube and weight assignment) and a safety and operation checklist profile. This module includes automatic alerts that are triggered and delivered if a piece of equipment has been flagged defective.

Order Fulfillment

Enhancement: Sales Order Assignment Workbench

Take advantage of gaining a high-level view of picks remaining by zone, and the new pull type option, reporting on the estimated remaining fulfillment hours leftover based on established metrics standards and number of employees assigned and actively working. This feature also includes the ability to assign work to your pickers and move them to a new zone and/or pull type assignment once their current batch of picks is complete.

Enhancement: Pull Types

This enhancement was created to delegate pickable items to specific types of material handling equipment. Let’s say you have items that require a fork truck to pull, but have pickers who are not certified to use that particular piece of equipment. You can now define item pull types (by item and branch) to restrict fulfillment of those items to a specific type of equipment. Additionally, an optional pull type sequence allows items to be fulfilled in a defined like sequence then pick path. We’ll use picking pipe as an example. If you want all steel pipe picked before any copper pipe, followed by PVC pipe – not a problem. With each uniquely assigned ‘sequence’ picked in pick path order, footsteps are reduced and efficiency increased.

Enhancement: Store Delivery Schedules with Route Shipping

For anyone using Route Shipping, Latitude WMS can now automatically assign a transfer order’s route, stop, dock door, delivery order, and picking priority by day of the week based on the order’s destination store number. New web forms provide visibility into daily schedules and make route reassignments easier.

System Admin. & IT

New Feature: Gateway as a Windows Service

For customers looking for a single access point to act as a conduit for data and process integration between multiple services, you’ll be happy to know that your search is over. This new feature offers you the ability to list, review and manage your gateway servers, as well as easy access to the very details of scheduling events and reviewing the event queue.
