5 Questions with Brian Smith, Regional Sales Manager

In our first installment of this series, we sat down with Isaac Ostrom, PathGuide’s Senior Software Engineer, to learn more about his work, advice for others interested in a similar career path, and who he turns to for advice and guidance. Today, we’re excited to chat with Brian Smith, our Regional Sales Manager based in New Jersey. His background spans more than 20 years as a senior sales and account executive, implementation specialist, trainer and solution architect.

Brian has been with PathGuide since March 2017, and he’s responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for the East Coast territory. In his role, Brian handles sales pipeline management and go-to-market approaches to help grow the business. He also spends much of his time evangelizing the value proposition behind PathGuide’s warehouse management and shipping solutions to potential customers, including at trade shows and events.

What work or projects are you most proud of and why?

Deals where I sold Latitude to paper driven warehouses where PathGuide’s solution significantly improved efficiency and quality of life for the customer warehouse associates.

What advice would you offer someone who is interested in a similar career path?

Be yourself and do your best to fit in and work as a team.

What excites you most about your role today?

Learning about new technology in a dynamic and ever changing supply chain industry.

Who do you turn to for advice, guidance or inspiration within PathGuide?

I turn to many people, including Eric Allais (President & CEO), Keith La Londe (Vice President, Systems), Greg Laycock (Vice President, Research & Development) and Marc Matthews (Director of Customer Service), just to name a few.

Thank you, Brian! You’re a busy guy, so we appreciate you taking the time to share with us your experiences at PathGuide.

Be sure to check back in a couple weeks when we’ll sit down with another employee and learn more about the people behind our solutions.
