Architecture
Latitude easily interfaces with virtually any host system and platform,
including the IBM AS/400, RS/6000 and other UNIX-based and NT-based systems.
Latitude imposes no additional load on the host because it operates on
an economical network of PCs including an RF Server that communicates
directly with handheld RF terminals. Host hardware and application interfacing
is a key component of PathGuide's total integration service package.
A PC network is recommended for best system performance. Latitude Administration
and user inquiry is web-based using standard Microsoft Internet 6.0 browser
at the client level. Latitude operates in Microsoft Windows XP, 2000,
or NT and utilizes the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database.
